Definitely a great Mexican restaurant to go to. My husband and I went twice and both times the experiences were pretty consistent. We were seated pretty quickly and served with chips and salsa as soon as we sat, which was nice. Many great food options portions were great also as well as the pricing definitely would go back again. The lunch specials are a great deal also and decent size portions. Seems like a very nice family owned restaurant.

We were in the mood for Mexican and had been wanting to try Taxco, so we finally decided to check it out. I let the team know that I’m a Top Google Local Guide and would be sharing my food and overall experience.The chips and salsa were tasty and a great way to start the meal! Cecelia, our server, was attentive and did her best to help my husband choose something that wouldn’t spike his glucose. He ordered the Naked Burrito with steak, substituting the rice for extra beans, and he really enjoyed it.I ordered the Enchiladas Supremas (one chicken, one beef, and one cheese). Unfortunately, I didn’t care for them rolled in corn tortillas—they were a bit rubbery for my taste. I also prefer steak over ground beef, so most of my plate went uneaten. When I mentioned it, our server kindly offered to bring something else. Although I declined a full replacement, I did agree to try one made with steak in a flour tortilla. The flavor & texture improved, but when I looked inside the tortilla, the meat were cube size and considering I wasn’t really eating my original dinner, it would have been nice to have larger slices of steak like the ones in my husband’s burrito. Oh well.While I truly appreciated the effort to make it right and the attentive service, overall I don’t think this will be a go-to spot for me—one and done. The best Mexican restaurant nearby! The service is good, the flavors are great, and both the steak and the carnitas were delicious. The atmosphere is excellent as well.

Sunday Funday with a great pitcher of Margarita! 10 out of 10, A+++++. Sat at bar, lots of regulars. Surprised that we never visited, it is kind of hidden. Food was great. I had the Carnita Dinner with Crema. This might be our new go too.

Best casual Mexican food in the area. Guac is AMAZING. Everything we’ve had is great and they are extremely fast, especially with kids meals 😅 super friendly too

Lunch was awesome. All around great experience. Try the Jr. Naked Burrito (lunch) mine was great. Some of the friendliest wait staff I've encountered in quite awhile. AND, it was only slightly more than $20 including the tip. I'll stop again next time I'm in Huntersville, NC.

My favorite spot! Pricing, Service and Food is perfect. Love getting the choriqueso and the steak tacos. The enchiladas are great too. Love going for lunch or diner and no matter the time the food is so good and they treat you like family. Highly recommend and is one of the best kept secrets in Huntersville!

We go here for lunch.Super nice staff. Fast.Food is very good.Interior could use a makeover. A little run down.They have a new covered outdoor patio section which is very nice.Very friendly people. I enjoy Taxco.Great margarita specials at dinner time.

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was excellent – I finished an entire chicken fajita meal, which I didn’t think I’d be able to do because it was so filling and delicious. The drink was just the right strength, perfect for enjoying and still being able to drive home safely. It was my sister’s birthday, and the staff sang to her, which made the night even more special. Everyone was super nice, and the atmosphere was great. All around, it was a wonderful time, and we will definitely be back!

I visit this restaurant twice a week while my son is at tutoring. The employees are always super friendly and the food is fabulous! It's so good, I wouldn't even consider anywhere else! If you are in the Huntersville/Exit 25 area, you really should give it a try! My favorite Mexican restaurant!

I love this place. I have been many times. It’s just your classic Mexican restaurant. Plenty of dishes to choose from, good drinks, food is consistent, and everyone is friendly.The prices are good for the food too. Don’t expect a gourmet meal, but it is an A+ for a classic Mexican restaurant.The only complaint is that it can get so hot in the restaurant! It can be really uncomfortable by the end of the meal but I won’t hold it against them too much because I love the rest.

Drinks, food, and service are all great. Great portions of food. My only complaint is there are only tables and no booths. Is it going to stop me from going? Absolutely not. The best of it's kind in the area for sure. Service is beyond great.

As I've posted in the past, this is one of several restaurants in a chain that is by far exceptional, compared to its sister locations. Although the service was a little slower than usual last night, the food and company were amazing. We shall return.

Delicioua food at a good price. My only complaint is that I wish they added more cheese sauce! It was so good on my chimichangas but I felt there was not enough to justify it being an extra charge. Still very positive experience.

Food is good but you have to request everything from cheese, tomatoes, sour cream etc otherwise you will just have meat on your burrito or quesadilla

Hands down one of the best taco places around! Everything on the menu has so much flavor and you can tell it is made fresh as our plates are always hot upon arrival. Also want to add the service is always great and the wait is never long, this is my favorite taco Tuesday place!

Service was spectacular. This guy was by himself and running the entire place. Didn't miss a beat. Food was good not great. Didn't care for the ground beef. All other meats were fantastic. Great spot!

We enjoyed this place. We had the combination fajitas, carnitas mole, kids taco, and chicken soup. All were very good. Prices were reasonable for lunch. Drinks were good. We really liked the chips and salsa. I would definitely recommend this place.

Was the first time ordering from them . We got our usual Taco 🌮 salad 🥗 that we like to get to see if a restaurant can make a simple dish like that well then most of the time everything else is usually on par. The taco salad 🥗 come inside a taco shell which was great because last time we order one from la unica down the road it did not which was disappointing. The food 🥘 was warm , and the chicken actually had seasoning and not from a packet which was awesome . The beans were good as well not as authentic as I like but also home made which is great overall was a good meal and would definitely eat there again specially since they seem to be the best around the area we found so far. Also prices are more than fair for what you get .

Our family loves meeting up with friends for dinner and drinks at Taxco. The service is very attentive, and they have some of the best local Mexican food in the area. Love the naked steak burrito!

We love this place! Their service is great, the food is consistent, the portion size is the largest out of all of the Mexican food restaurants in the area. There is plenty of seating, so there is seldom a long wait. Their lunch specials run 7 days/week and the prices are good.

I got the enchiladas a la tia and they were delicious! You get a lot of food for your money. I also took it to go and it took me 15 minutes to get home and it still tasted fresh! Also, the young man that took my order and rang me up when I got there was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind!

This is the best Mexican restraunt around. The food is hot and very good when they bring it to you. Your food order is always right. The waiters and waitress are very friendly. The restraunt is always clean. You will be glad you found this restraunt. 5 stars!

the floors were dirty with chips but there was a guy sweeping it up but I don't really like when someone sweeps when I'm sitting at a table with food my friends their food was really good they said mine was okay but I had to fried whole tilapia it was fried perfectly all it needed was more seasoning overall I'll go back everyone was really nice
